31 COVER CROP - CATCH CROP OR GREEN MANURE STEWARDSHIP OPTIONS INCLUDE: AB13 – Brassica Fodder Crop £100/ha Summer established brassica fodder crop that is grazed over the winter, with no herbicides or insecticides applied. AB15 – Two Year Sown Legume Fallow £522/ha p.a. Post harvest establish a legume mix, top to control blackgrass and weed growth, return to the farm rotation from the 15th August in the second year. SW5 – Enhanced Management of Maize Crops £133/ha Harvest the Maize by 1st October and establish a cover crop by 15th October to give good over winter green cover. SW6 – Winter Cover crops £114/ha Available in NVZ’s and land identified to be at risk of soil erosion. Establish a fast-growing cover crop before the 15th September and destroy the cover crop in late January/February, no more than six weeks before stablishing the following spring crop.
