About Us
In 1967 Mike Pearce started a company trading in agricultural seed and the then emerging crop protection market. Mike operated from his garage, mixing his seed in a cement mixer on his drive and it is from this garage that the company grew.
In 1986 Mike was joined by Ken Tuffin and together they continued to grow the business. Today Pearce Seeds is still run by the Tuffin family who farm in the Blackmore Vale in Dorset.
Still a family company run by a farming family
Today the Pearce Group of Companies covers many more aspects of farming but still delivers the same high levels of service and expertise that has always been associated with the Pearce name.
Pearce Seeds have a team of BASIS and FACTS qualified agronomists covering the South West. We supply agricultural inputs including agrochemicals, arable and forage seed, oilseeds, fertiliser, fibrophos, grass seed, clover seed, agricultural lime, maize seed and silage additives.
Pearce Dairy provides expert advice and services to dairy farms with a technical approach to milk quality and herd health. Our services include hygiene audits, hygiene protocols, calf health programs and troubleshooting for all on farm issues. Our advice and recommendations are backed up by a quality portfolio of products for pre and post milking, robot hygiene, plant hygiene and cleaning, calf health and hygiene, bedding and nutrition.
Pearce Poultry provide expert products and services for the biosecurity, cleaning and disinfecting of animal housing and equipment, to ensure the healthy production of livestock. We provide a full service including hygiene audits and hygiene training with a portfolio of products to cover all the needs of production.
Pearce Sporting Services brings together expertise to cover the whole of the game industry, providing game keepers and shoot owners with all the products, services and knowledge required to run their shoot. We supply game feed, tonics and multi-vits for optimum nutrition as well as biosecurity and hygiene products to ensure overall bird health. We also provide an extensive range of cover crops with full agronomy support and all equipment and ancillaries from feeders and drinkers to netting and rodent control.
