Winter Wheat
Claire Group 3 variety. Consistent yields and tillers well. Grain suitable for a number of markets. Good resistance to Septoria Tritici.
Deben Group 3 variety. Long strawed variety with good resistance to Mildew and Septoria Tritici.
Scout Group 3 variety. High yields combined with good general disease resistance. High Specific Weight.
Alchemy Group 4 variety. Gives high yields and although susceptible to Brown Rust, has good resistance to Septoria Tritici. A proven variety in the SW.
Exsept Group 4 variety. Good yields, good standing, exceptional resistance to Septoria Tritici and reliability make this a very popular variety.
Gatsby Group 4 variety. Excellent resistance to all the major foliar diseases, particularly Septoria Tritici.
Maxwell Group 4 variety. Very high yields combined with very good disease resistance make this an outstanding variety. A bearded wheat.
Winter Barley
Sazuka Feed variety with high yields and relatively stiff straw. Good overall disease resistance, especially to Rhynco. Resistant to Barley Mosaic Virus.
Winter Oats
Gerald Good specific weight, standing ability and reliability keep this old faithful going.
Winter Triticale
Bellac Straw length is closer to wheat rather than rye to give this variety excellent standing ability.
Constant High yielding with long straw.
Winter Beans
Wizard High yields, standing ability and resistance to Ascochyta make this the variety of choice. Pale hilum makes it suitable for export.
Spring Wheat
Paragon Group 1 variety. The only Group 1 spring wheat variety. Still very popular with growers and millers.
Spring Barley
Cocktail Potential Malting variety. High yielding with short stiff straw resistant to brackling. Good resistance to Mildew and Brown Rust.
Quench Malting variety with good yields. Short strawed variety with good resistance to lodging, and good resistance to Rhynco & Mildew
Westminster Feed variety. Was a malting variety that fell out of favour with the brewers. Long straw and bold grains combined with excellent Mildew and Rhynco resistance make it of interest in the feed market.
Spring Oats
Atego An early maturing variety with excellent standing ability and good straw length. Reasonable resistance to crown rust.
Spring Triticale
Dublet A high yielding variety that shows good resistance to mildew, Septoria and brown rust. It has moderate length straw and good lodging resistance. Dublet is suitable for use as feed, whole crop and as game cover.
Spring Beans
Fuego The top yielding variety with good standing ability and fairly good resistance to Downy Mildew. Suitable for export market.
Spring Peas
Mascara White-grain pea giving very high yields. Good standing and moderate resistance to Downy Mildew.
